How to Create Your Wedding Guest List and Wedding Party?

How to Create Your Wedding Guest List and Wedding Party

The number of guests you have and special persons who have roles at your wedding affect everything you do while planning, but creating the list can seem like an incredibly difficult task to start. Here in Special Event DJZ, we are here to help!

1. Know the type of wedding that you want—and how much you can spend.

Before you can focus on your guest list, you must decide what type of wedding you want and what your finances can handle. Will it be a big bash or an intimate elopement? Local or destination? During peak season or off-season? Are kids welcome or adults-only? Casual buffet or multi-course seated dinner? Making decisions about these factors first will enable you to establish your budget and determine how many guests you can invite.

2. MIA family members and friends you haven’t heard from in years

If you haven’t spoken to some of your relatives in years and friends you no longer speak to frequently, don’t feel obligated to invite them to your wedding. Remember, your wedding is a celebration for you and the person you’re marrying and your immediate family; it’s not a family reunion.

3. Send invites ASAP!

The earlier you send invites, the sooner you can have an idea of who may not be attending so that you can open up those spaces to others.
